Pilot Officer Thomas Reginald Ashton RAFVR (104333)

I apologize if this pops up as a duplicate topic but I tried to post it earlier today and it hasn't shown up on the forum yet.

I've been trying to track down information on Pilot Officer Thomas Reginald Ashton RAFVR for some time. He was a crew member on the 408 Squadron Hampden bomber piloted by my uncle, Robert Wishart of Hamilton Ontario on the night of July 21/22, 1942 when they were lost over Holland on a bombing mission to Duisburg. The bodies of three of the crew were recovered, my uncle and one other being buried in Harlingen and T.R. Ashton being buried in Bergen-op-Zoom.

My uncle and two of the others were RCAF and so I've been able to learn at least something about each of them but T.R. Ashton is a complete mystery. I've found no photographs, date or place of birth nor any mention of any relatives.

The following are links to pages where he is mentioned:

If anyone has any information or could point me in any likely directions I would greatly appreciate it.

P/O Thomas Reginald Ashton (104333) b.1917, married Mabel Haynes.

His parents Reginald & Grace Ashton of Lima, Peru.

His brother Sergeant Derek Kilgour Ashton (1396278) 23.03.15-27.01.44 also killed in Bomber Command.

Within the Anglican Cathedral in Lima the Ashton brothers are named in the stained-glass memorial window, also individual wall-plaque.

Thank you JSR. That fills in a blank that I had been trying to fill for years. Coming from Peru explains why there is no record of him in the UK.
