Dad was a Navigator in 76 sq. trained in Canada also toward the end of the war was in India. I have few articles of this time in his life, but I do have a certificate (undated) of his completion of a tour of 30 trips I would like to find out thr aircraft he flew in and if possible his crew. I seem to recall a pilot called Roop. Any help would be appreciated

Hi,

If you would like to contact me at the address below (replacing the usual AT & Dot) I can help with information regarding your fathers operational history with 76 Sqn.

The attached ORB, for ops to Wesel (20/02/45) shows the pilot landed in Epinoy France, but they managed to get back for later operations.

Crew:

F/L  Roope

F/S  Maylin

F/S Gerrelli

F/S Duncombe

Sgt Doel

Sgt Smith

Sgt Coel

Regards,

MikeH
