Pilot Officer Colin Hubert Curtis  (No. 107980) was shot down on the evening of 20th January 1942 aged 22.

Vickers Wellington 1c  (serial Z1110) and six crew on board were never found (Chapman, Curtis, Spackman, Mantle, Dunn and Hancox)

The aircraft was one of three `kill` claims that night by Oblt Ludwig Becker, operating out of Leeuwarden off the Dutch coast near Terschelling.

Colin Curtis and the crew were with 101 Squadron at RAF Oakington, Cambridgeshire when they disappeared.
