Troopships leaving Halifax

My Dad left Canada on May 28, 1943 on a troopship from Halifax. Does anyone know of a resource that I can access to find out the name of the ship? Was it by itself or in a convoy etc?

I have done some cursory research on the Web, but no luck so far.

Any links, tips , info etc would be appreciated.
