I would like to know whether I may be able to obtain the personal records of a Canadian airman. WO2 Douglas J. Setter (R/159475) was a rear gunner from 10 Squadron in the Halifax III HX347/ZA-Q which was shot down during the night of 1-2 May 1944. I am asking that because I would like to know the exact site where this airman was killed hoping there was an investigation after the war by the RAF Missing Research Enquiry Service. Thanks for any help, especially from Canadian members. F/Sgt Kenneth W. Priske, RCAF (pilot), was in the same aircraft too, but his name is commemorated on the Runnymede memorial.
Hi Chorley BCL Vol 6 gives the crash location as Eppegem(Brabant) described as a small village roughly half way between Brussels and Mechelen, the target for that night. 1 crew member evaded capture but all the rest died when the a/c exploded. Setter, Sgt T K D Lucas A/G, and the pilot P/O G Lassey are buried in Brussels Town Cemetery, the rest who died have no known graves. Chorley does not say what brought the a/c down Regards Dick
just wondering what is your interest is in K. Priske?? i have recently come to find out that my mother was married to him just before the plane went down. I would love to know any information you have. i only have letters and pictures of him and her.

I have been searching for information on his brief marriage to Louise Tait. I do have records that she received after his death that perhaps you may want to see as well.
