I am trying to find information regarding the loss of Lancaster ED 995 PH-X of 12 squadron which was lost 8th/9th October 1943 near Hamblin Germany. This plane carried my father through all 30 ops of his first tour. Any information that I can add to my fathers web site www.raf-bombercommand.co.uk would be greatly appreciated.
Also what are the odds on completing a tour in the same plane during the summer of 1943?

Hi Andy,

I neglected to mention at that particular time in Bomber Command, the chances of surviving a tour were very slim with the propects diminishing into the lead up to the 'Battle of Berlin' operations.
