Fred-I am so pleased that Roy is being commemorated in this way and  it must mean so much to you and your family.
The sheer awfullness of his story has always stayed in my mind.
A lovely photo of him and a reminder that with Remembrance day so near, these men are NOT forgotten.

Like Linda I am so pleased to hear that Roy is being commemorated in this way on November 9th.

It is vital that the sacrifice of all who served with Bomber Command should never be forgotten.

So it is with great annoyance that today I hear that the selling of poppies by the British Legion in all Derbyshire libraries has been banned by the county council.

Whoever made this despicable decision should take a look at Blackstock

Ontario and hang their head in shame.

You will be pleased to know,Andy, that Derbyshire Council has now reveresed this decision
Hopefully,Philip Laing, the "poppy shame student" caught desecrationg the wreath on the Sheffield War memorial while drunk, might do well to read Roy's Story and realise that in another time and place that might have been him.
