For the information of anyone who has a personal interest in No 78 Sqn RAF

Exercise Halifax Shadow a 78 Sqn Memorial Weekend is being held between 4th -7th June 2010 at various locations in the York area including; Breighton, Bubwith, Linton  on Ouse and the Yorkshire Air Musuem Elvington  

The event is open to all former members of 78 Sqn, be they air or ground crew, and from any era of our operational past; 1st Nov 1916 - to date (albeit with a few "enforced breaks" over the years!)

We also will warmly welcome the relatives/families of the 979 78 Sqn personnel KIA/MIA during WWII and of those 20+ lost in flying accident since. The seven members of 78 Sqn personnel KIA during WWI will also be remembered as well

So if you have served with 78 Sqn at; Al Mazra, Breighton, Croft, Disforth, Fayid, Khormaksar, Linton on Ouse, Middleton St. George, Mount Pleasant or Sharjah (or are related to someone that did?) and are interested in attending Halifax Shadow please contact me.
