What luck to find such and awesome wealth of information. I'll just get right into it.
I've always known my grandfather served with No. 75 Squadron, and that he was shot down in 41/42, and a few bits of other random information (he doesn't like to talk about it, for obvious reasons). However recently on a visit to him, he gave me three boxes of model airplanes, books and videos, and at the bottom of one box was his brothers Observer's and Air Gunner's Flying Log Book and Pilot's Flying Log Book. As well as his scroll commemorating his death. After finding this site and digging around a bit I cam across him on the Auckland War Memorial Cenotaph web page. I never knew anything about his brother, other than he was shot down and died. He would NEVER talk about that, more so than his own experiences, so this was quite touching and to see a picture of him gave me goosebumps.
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of where I could find more information about my grandfather. Frederick E. Woodrow, his brother's name was Henry J. Woodrow, if that's of any help. I've contacted the Auckland War Museum, and I cannot get my grandfathers service records without his express permission, he won't give it. Any information would be greatly appreciated, aircraft numbers, missions etc.

Try a posting on the RAF Commands forum for Floyd Willston who specializes in the RNZAF.
Also 75 Squadron experts also post on it I will see what else i can find for you.
Thanks a bunch! I ended up finding a wealth of info on Harry Woodrow after I posted this, but I am strapped for info on Frederick Woodrow, thanks for your help! :) Thanks for recommending RAF Commands and Floyd Willston I'll give them a shot.
Yes-I expect you have by now seen the photo's of Harry on the Auckland Cenotaph site also. I meant Errol Martyn(where is my brain today!) He posts on the RAF commands forum and is an expert on RNZAF Good luck!
