I expect you already know/have seen it,
The lovely Aircrew Remembrance Society does have a "page" on this and photo's of Sergeant Martin RCAF.
Have you managed to trace all of the crew's relations?

Hi Linda,

Yes the information for the page on the Air Crew Rememberance Society site was provided by Gordon,Barney Martin's nephew who is the relative I mentioned that I have been working with, but thanks for mentioning it. As I said any info will be more than gratefully received.

Apart from myself and Gordon I have managed to contact 3 other relatives. Unfortunately two of them were not interested in being involved in any of the research but I had the most wonderful conversation with Harry Black's brother. He only found out two years ago where his brother was buried and has visited the church at Dommartine twice. It nearly brought me to tears when he told me that both times he has played a lament on the bagpipes at the graveside!!

The two crew members for whom we have not yet contacted relatives are Sgt.O'Neill and Sgt.Thompson, but we live in hope!

Hi Liz,

As you know 460 Sqn suffered very badly that night with 6 aircraft being lost. It is thought it was shot down by Oblt Richard Delakowitz of 7./NJG4 for his 6th victory of the war he would finish with a total of 7 victories by war's end.

I think between myself and another relative of one of Frank's crew we have found as much as we are going to find, but you just never know if there might be someone out there who has information.
