My father was second pilot on this aircraft. The aircraft was brought down by flak after a raid on Duisburg at a place called Beckerswerth. This was on night of 21/21 May 1944. The soul survivor was a FltSgt Noon the wireless operator who was taken as a POW. His service number was 1295792... No further information known. Does any body have any idea how to find out whether he survived the POW or whether he is still alive, be that he would be quite elderely now.??

I'm still having a look around, but F/S Noon is listed as being in Camp Stalag Luft 7near the Polish border, his PoW number was 42. So far no other info found. I'll see if I can find anything else.

My great uncle, FLTLT Robert Charles Andersen was the Pilot on this aircraft. It would be interesting to contact relatives of his crew. I would be particularly interested to get copies of any photographs in which he appears.
