question about Wellington R1798 of 115 squadron
Permalink

I got a little question for everyone. I'm doing some research to crasht bombers in the northern part of Holland.
Now i hope somebody have the ORB of the 115 Squadron.

My question is what was the time that Wellington R1798 of 115 sq take of on 26-9-1941 from Marham to Berlin.
Maybe somebody know also how many wellingtons of 115 take off that day to Berlin. Or other information about this plain.

I hope somebody can help me.

Thanks in advance and kind regards

Greeting from René Bosma, Wolvega Holland

Rene,
R1798 was lost on the night of 7/8th Sept 1941, not as you say, on 26th. There were two 115sqdn losses on 6/7th, R1798 and R1772.

R1798, KO-B, took off at 20.23hrs, shot down by nightfighter and crashed near Drachtstercompagnie, Holland, all on board were killed. Details from BC Losses (Chorley)
Alan.
