Hi Alan, I've gone through all that i know, and like you i cannot find any record of him as being killed during WW2. There is only one Albert Witty registered on the CWGC and as you've probably seen yourself, he was Merchant Navy. It's quite possible that he did indeed serve with the RAF, but was not killed, stories do have a habit of changing over the years. Alan.
Further to Alan W. comments, the name 'Witty' only appears in Chorleys RAF Losses on these two listed reports. Note that the initials are not the same as requested.

I'm making pictures for the Dolores Cross Project of the graves from the RNZAF members. They are also buried on the cemetery in Woensel. I you like I can see if I can find the grave of Sgt Witty and make a picture.
I believe this G.F. Witty is your oncle but to be sure you have to find his registration number Can you please see if you can find a registration number?
Found someone who did research about the the crashed near Eindhoven. One of them was plane of F/O Jones. About 30 planes crashed in the same area. That´s why there is a bit of confusion about which plane crashed where.
The researcher is Mr. Foppe D. de Lange and he has been in contact with the family of F/O Jones in NZ. He might have more information for you. His email: f.delang@onsnet.nu
