Hi Uwe Really great website you have and good work you are doing. I guess if I was going to try to track down the relatives I would start at the CWGC site http://www.cwgc.org/ and search for each of the dead which will usually give you the names of their closest relatives and town. I then google those names and town and can sometimes come up with the right answer. It depends on how common the name and where they are from. Good Luck Dave Wallace
last weekend we had more than 300 visitors while we were digging for remains of the aircraft at the crashsite. It looks like we located one of the aircrafts engine in the ground. It will be taken out soon and put on display in lthe local museum.
After that we had a exhibition in the townhall of Schwanheim. It was very interesting to talk to eyewitnesses. Some of them brought parts of the aircraft they kept at their homes. There was a ladder, a map, one hat of a crewmember and so on.
Enclosed you will find some photographs. For more infos about the coming recovery, please contact me or visito our homepage www.flugzeugabstuerze-saarland.de
