Hi All

I'm trying to locate any former 100 squadron aircrew from 1943-45 who flew on JB 603 'take-it-Easy' any help greatly received.

Regards Paul

Hi Paul

My uncle and crew took Lanc III JB603 HW-E "Take it Easy" to Berlin on 27th Jan 1944.

At the end of Feb 44 they got their own Lanc III JB563 HW-G.

They managed 6 ops before they got the chop on route to Frankfurt am Main on 22nd March 1944.  Only the 2nd dicky survived.

regards

C.T.

P.S.  There's a Norman Frank book called "Ton-up Lancs" - it has all 35 Ton-Up Lancs completed with operations and crew lists.

Pop flew a number of missions under Bomber Command from the UK across Germany. I recall seeing some years ago records that he flew with Kingsford Smith.
