P J Bemose 12 Squadron Wickenby 1943

I am trying to trace the relatives of Sgt P J Bemrose who was the only survivor of the crew of Lancaster ED995 which was lost over Hameln Germany on the night of October 8th/9th 1943.
ED995 carried my father through the whole of his first tour with 12 Squadron at Wickenby.
I know Sgt Bemrose was captured and interned in Stalag IVB but have little further information
A possible picture of him can be seen on web site http://www.raf-bombercommand.co.uk

There is s genealogical forum called www.rootschat.com and I have found the folks on there really helpful with this sort of stuff. There is also a guy called Brian (handle is ADM199) who is the POW guru and might be able to get you more information about that sort of thing. If you contact The Wickenby Register Eric Foinette, 'Beechins', Goat Lees, Faversham Road, Boughton Aluph, ASHFORD, Kent TN25 4PQ tel 01233 625004 & see RAF Lossiemouth
personal site http://www.12sqn.net/12-history/12history.html they may also have information that can help you. The information came from the RAF Register of Associations who keep it as up to date as possible so should be right.
