At approximately 02:35 hours Pacific Standard Time August 16th, 2011 Dad took off on his final sortie where he "slipped the surly bonds of earth, put out his hand and touched the face of God"  I am sure he has reunited with the crew of Lancaster ND969 "F" for Freddy and they are tipping a few pints together.

Thank you all who provided assistance and information during the writing of his story and for carrying on his greatest wish that those who served and continue to serve will not be forgotten.

Rest in peace Dad, your fight is now completed.

Hi Leslie,

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.

A great man, now with his mates once more.

RIP.

Wayne.

Leslie

I am so sorry for your loss. Your father, like all those who served with Bomber Command will never be forgotten.

Be sad but be proud, be very proud.

Andy
