My dad is looking for his crew. He has called England and a few other places. My dad is trying to "get things in order" as he feels he is not getting any younger. If anyone knows the whereabouts of the below crew.........my dad (and my family) would be grateful. F/O P.D. Saunders. Sgt D.H. Griffiths. F/O E.S Chambers. Sgt V.S. Cox, RCAF W/O T. Wallach, RCAF. Sgt S. Kenny, RCAF. Sgt G.H. Reid, RCAF. (My Dad) Thanks in advance Phil
This side of the pond it might be possible to track down the former Canadian contingent of the crew if you know any of the hometowns of any of them. Even if they are no longer with us it's sometimes possible to contact Next-of-Kin through newspapers, on-line searches, Royal Canadian Legion Branches, etc. At the very least (and/or worst) there are some good on-line Obituary search engines but generally one has to at least know the hometown if not the last known place of residence. If you are able to provide any of those details Phil, I can give it a go in spare moments.
When my own Dad's crew reunited some 46 or 47 years after they had last been together they wouldn't have recognized each other if they had bumped into each other ij the street but amazingly they did over the phone. Apparently the sound of our voices doesn't change a whole lot over time. Theirs was a very exciting and fulfilling reunion so I hope you can effect the same.
Wishing you the best of sucess in your endeavours,
