F/Sgt.Needs and crew were posted in to 100 Squadron from 1662 C.U.7/8/43.He flew his second pilot sortie with the Anderton crew 9-10/8/43 to Mannheim and the following sorties with his own crew;12-13/8/43 Milan,15-16/8/43 Milan,17-18/8/43 Peenemunde and 23-24/8/43 Berlin,missing.
