Thanks for the link. I can see why i did not have any luck with finding him in any A/G's position in the crew lists, as he was not an Airgunner, but a Flight Engineer, and just to confound things further, the N/A have listed the combat reports wrongly as well. Out of curiosity, i downloaded the one for Jan 44, and the information on it matches that of the crew list in the ORB, which is.......
Weatherstone, Pilot
Gregory, F/Eng
Thompson, Nav.
Lane, A/B
Spruce, W/Op
Lineham, M/U.
Collingwood, R/G.
So, not an A/G as originally thought.
31 ops for this crew, (including 12 to Berlin) between posting in 27/6/43, and out to various units at beginning of April 44.

Unfortunately all I know is that he was a flight-sergeant, mid-upper gunner on an Avro Lancaster and flew in 27 missions. This was told to me verbally many years ago.
The only D.Gregory i can find, is Sgt D. Gregory of 50sqdn, who was a F/E to the crew in the above combat report. They completed 30 ops, before being post out to various CU's. He could have been promoted to F/Sgt later.
Hello, so it took me a while...but after getting my Grandad's death certificate and writing to the RAF I've now got a movements record. It appears he was in the 207 Squadron from 31/10/44 to 6/5/45 where there's an entry for '1661 C. unit' which I'm not sure what that means?
I've also found an operations record on the national archives where I can see his name on the report.
Does anyone have any additional info on the 207 Squadron that may be of use?
