Have found your site truly inspirational and would be very grateful for any information, operational or anything for my uncle. Raymond Turley Sergeant (W.Op./Air Gnr.) Official Number: 1261183 ... 15 Squadron, thanking you in anticipation.
Many, many thanks AlanW I would much appreciate copies of the files as I really want to get the history right. On another matter, trying to find out asmuch as I can on my other deceased Uncle Alick Edward Turley DFM of 37 Squadron, Abu Suer, recently discovered he actually died on his way home after completing his compliment of Ops. The BOAC Short S30 flying boat ditched in the sea off Gambia with all crew and passengers lost only a week or so after Raymond Turley died.
Kind regards
Alan Norris

From looking at the crash site location on google maps, and the route map in the raid report for this operation, it would seem that they were on their way back to the UK when lost. If you would like copies of the files, please let me have your email address, via a message on my whiteboard in my profile.
I have copied your email down, and i would suggest that you edit your post now, to delete your email address before spammers get hold of it. Will send files either later today, or first thing tomorrow.
