Can you add anything else, no matter how small, to help out, assuming that he was blown out of the aircraft because of enemy action, and taken pow, there only three Davies's with the initials "R" in pow lists.  R.C. Davies, 408sqdn, R.F Davies, 50sqdn, and R.T. Davies, 78sqdn. Only one of these fits with 1943, and that is Sgt R.T. Davies 78sqdn, shot down 25/7/43, one of 3 survivors.
