Halifax DK 224--MP-Q.

Good day. I am looking for photo,s of the crew Halifax DK 224. On 23-6-1943 he came down on a 200 mtr. of Castle Oud Zuylen,5 Km above Utrecht.

Also a photo of Gr.Capt.Douglas Ernest Lancelot Wilson,RAAF. Who can help me. Greetings Jan.

Hi Jan,

Ive checked out the book 'To See The Dawn Breaking: 76 Squadron Operations " and cannot find any photo of the crew or that of Halifax DK224 MP-Q.  On this operation Gr.Capt Wilson,RAAF was the 2nd pilot.

DK224 had completed 3 Ops.

 

The Halifax was shot down by Lt. Werner Baake 1./NJG1  at 01.58   (ref, Nachtjagd War Diaries vol 1 : Theo Boiten).
