Hello everybody ... apologies for the bad english coming out from the frenchy-Belgian I am...

My father made his Air navigation school n°2 ANS in Charlottetown (Prince Edouard). Previously he made his 17 ITW in Scarborough (England) in january 1944.

I'm currently trying to write a book over my father and his experience of how to be a pilot starting as escaping Belgium, reach England from south of France, volunteer in RAF, finishing at the end of war as pilot in Belgian Air Force and finaly as Flight Captain from 1951 to 1972 at Sabena company.

So, if anybody could provide ma any infos about the training school, texts or pictures I will appreciate it at a high level!

Thank you for any help,

Michel Van De Velde

Attachement (ITW from Scarborough)

Hi Michel,

it maybe worth taking a look at the 17 ITW records held at the National Archives (Kew, London).

 Last new Mike,

I made an order to have a copy of the service record but also just received an answer: no possibilities to have a copy because the article is included into a general document. One possibility is to go to the National Archives.

Thanks again,

Michel
