Does anyone know John Herbert Clingley from Sunderland born 17/06/20. He was a navigator on a Halifax shot down 22/10/43 near Kassel. I have an original German archive photograph of him with details of the camp he was sent to.http://www.activeboard.com/confirm.spark?aBID=100548&abKey=d0d7606793afbe028a881cc0b914d9ed

Thanks so much for your help. It was interesting to see that your account is the same as the German account. I am hoping to find someone in his family who might be interested. Cheers Philip.

Hi,

Just to add to Mike H reply it should read Gustav Tham. He would survive the war with a total of 15 victories.

Regards,

John.
