F/Sgt William Brookes - 78 Squadron

Hi,

can anyone help with any operational records for F/Sgt William Brookes?

I understand he served as W/Op. AG with 78 Squadron (Breighton) from late 1943/ early 1944.  The pilots name was a Bob Penrice RCAF.

Regards,

Mike.H

Hi Alan,

thanks for checking. It looks like his service with 78 Sqn was later.  Ive been told he did 9 Ops in eleven days during March 1945.

Regards,

Mike

Hi  Mike

I've received Ops info from my contact and have emailed them to you - but in the meantime can confirm William Brooks served on 78 Sqn late '44 ~ early '45  - not late '43 ~ early '44 . . .

Kind Rgds

Tony

I would be very interested to see copies of the log books and any images you may have regarding F/O Symons. I am in contact with someone writing a book on 78. There is already one written by a different author published some years ago
