My name is Adriano Silva Baumgartner, a former Brazilian Commercial pilot with a huge passion and interest in RAF History. I have been working, during the last 6 years, on a major book-tribute to Honour ALL Brazilians that have enlisted, served and flew with the Royal Air Force, RCAF, SAAF, etc..in WW2.
ANY help and contribution of relatives that were either Brazilian Volunteers or relatives that have served in WW2 with a Brazilian Volunteer is most welcomed.
So far we have covered 100+ biographies on a 6-volumes book-tribute, whose revenues (this is my dream) shall go to Charity Works (AACD, Unicef, etc..). Amongst those Brazilians, several were Bomber Command Crewmembers, such our most decorated Hero of all times: W/C Cosme Lockwood Gomm, DSO, DFC (OC 467 Squadron) and several others, like P/O Medus, DFC, etc.
I do thank you the kind attention to this thread and message, hoping to be able to find help and Honour those forgotten heroes from those lands.
My uncle Raymond Aldridge was based in Northern Ireland during the war; his flight disappeared in October 1944. I have a few more details if you are interested.
