File recovery on Apple computers

Any of you guys done any data recovery on MacBooks or iMacs? One of my relatives had an accident and asked me to recover everything I can. I've done a lot of this on Windows, but I don't have any experience with Apple in this regard.

During my period of owning a MacBook, I ran into tons of problems related to it's hard drive. Usually, I was able to recover most of my files by using Top 15 Best Data Recovery Software for Mac OS X, these programs were very successful for me when it came to recovering data. Maybe try them out to see if they will be able to help you out as well?
