Blenheim V6258 shot down 1st July 1941.

I am researching details on a 139 Squadron Blenheim XD-L, V6258 shot down 1st July 1941 piloted by Sgt. Ken Fenton, navigator AA Fuller and Gunner RW McDonald.

This was quite a fateful operation resulting in the loss of a Short Stirling from 7 Squadron and an HSL 108 from Gorleston.

The Stirling crew were lost as was one of the crew of the High Speed launch and all the remaining personel went from Dulag Luft to Stalag IXc (Bad Sulza) then onto Sagan and then some moved onto Stalag Luft 6 and then Thorn and Fallingbostal.

I am aware that Ken Fenton escaped with Sgt. J McCairns from Bad Sulza but have little further specific details of his time as a POW.

I have quite a lot of information but if anyone is able to add anything further, please let me know.

Regards,

Nick

I understand what you are saying but I think there should be more comments regarding the threat that was initially started so that the pool of thoughts is attracted.  Regards.
