As I try to keep up to date a 514 Squadron database, which docs could you share with me? ORBs August 1945 ? I know summary but not detailed crew whom took part in Bullseye, baedeker, Dodge. I know only for one crew as a logbook was sent to me from a relative.
Combats Reports? Heavy Conversion Units and Lancaster Finishing Schools in relation to 514 Sqn .? Station Records for Foulsham and Waterbeach? A.M Form 87 Movement Cards for Avro Lancaster? A.M Form 1180 Accident Cards for Avro Lancaster? Escape & Evasion Reports for 514 Sqn? No33 Base station?
Thank you Roger

Hi Smudger ... I'm a rookie posting for the first time!
I've glanced over some of the posts regarding your No.3 (Bomber) Group RAF Bomber Command information with great interest, but noticed that you don't have 149 listed therein? From the little research I've done regarding a late uncle's service time, I've seen 149 Sqdn as being a clear part the Group on many listings ... has it been overlooked, have you listed 149 as 419, or is it because you don't have any info on them?
I'm very interested (as are my late uncle's two surviving sisters) of his exploits / operations / missions during his short service in WW2. I've already gleaned from a member of the 149 Sqdn Facebook page the names of his crew and aircraft number & call-sign, and this person is also trying to track down as much information as he can for me. However, if you also have documentation of missions that 149 Sqdn participated in, I'd be extremely grateful if you could impart as much information as humanly possible.
Sadly my uncle never spoke of his short wartime service for reasons unknown but having served myself can well imagine . If you require his name or any photos, I can forward / upload them for your perusal.
Hoping you can assist, I look forward to your reply.
Kind regards,
Steve Cook

I would like to say what a bang-On site and a wonderful & fitting tribute to the memory of all those who served with RAF Bomber Command during the bitter bombing campaign of WW.II My interest is two-fold, No.218 (Gold Coast) Squadron, of which I am the association historian and the exploits and history of No.3 (Bomber) Group 1936-1945. I am always keen to learn anything about the group, the men and women the aircraft and anything else??

Dear adolfainsley8,
Interesting you mention that you are the association historian of 218 (Gold Coast) Squadron, since I have held this position for over ten years???? Strange, I have never heard from you!!
