Gents,

Can anyone please let me know the circumstances surrounding the above named officer being sent for a prolonged spell of recuperation between January 1942 and May 1943. At the time he was serving as C Flight Commander with No.408 RCAF Squadron.

Thanks in advance.

Steve

Posted in to 138sqdn on 9th May 44, 40076 Sqdn/Ldr W.J. Burnett,  from 3 Group HQ. This is the same person as the one in question. If you Google "Wilfred Jasper Burnett" you will get a hit for his obituary in The Telegraph, which includes all the details of hs career

I thought i recognised the name as i have his signature in a 138 log book casualty...very distinctive......also a couple of months ago there was a log book on Ebay in which i noticed the same signature.....from 1953 i think?.....sadly another casualty....lost control? in a meteor over the runway at......'syerston?'......dont quote me on that!....V.D. Pedley.....wish i had bid on it now....interesting link between the two logs....
