Hello everyone

First post on here, and i'm after some help.

We're doing a family history thing and have come to find out details of a Thomas Walsh who was a Sgt pilot in the Western desert in 1942/43 flying Wellington bombers.

Does anyone know the Sqn that were there around this time? Any ideas how to find out his service no. etc?

Apparently there might be some pictures i can scan and send people if anyone's interested (the aircraft that is)? My email's andy3351@hotmail.com.

Thanks for any help

Andy

Andy,

I beleive 420, 424, 425 squadrons were all part of No. 331 Wing at Kairouan in Tunisia during that time.

148 Squadron operated on Wellingtons in the Western Desert at Luqa, Kabrit and later in Libya.
