Hi Alexander, all i can tell you at present is on the air gunner-Terence Anthony Casey 1426 Howard Avenue Windsor,Ontario Born 24-11-1924,single,Irish desecent, enlisted a year previously. Parents-Frederick Charles Caset(Irish) & Ivy(nee Hobbs) English death registered in Ottawa on 10th November 1945. Not a lot but will see if i can find anything on the the others.
Hi Alexander, According to my Lancaster book your PB-687 of 626 Sqdn.has the letters (UM-Q2) after the serial number and it just tells that it was shot down on the dates you gave but doesn't say whether by fighter or flak.
They were shot down by an enemy aircraft fighter according to the book "They Shall Grow Not Old". I've the names of the night fighter pilots who claimed an aircraft that night but no crash location was given for some of their "Abschuss". I think that only the "Abschussmeldungen" of those pilots can give any answer about the possible crash location. Regards,
Alexander

Alexander you are awre of the 1./NJG 1 pilot flying a He 219A and Hager who due to his rank and personality may have flown the same - He 219A while II./NJG 1. he had the privleges in the Ii. gruppe and he also flew the Ju 88G-6 as well though the gruppe was exclusevily flying the Bf 110G-4. come spring 08 you may just find out whom shot the A/C down and the location
volume 1 will concern the LW against the RAF. due rougly in 2010 will be the LW versus the Soviets of which I have high hopes for I./NJG 5 and NJG 100 materials. not wishing to digress but I have a friend whom she was a Luftwaffe-helferin as ground radio operator in NJG 100 while on the Ost front in 1945 before they retreated to the Reich.
