Air hangars in Wiltshire which were used in both World Wars are being restored at a cost of £3m.
The airfield, at Yatesbury near Calne, is currently being redeveloped, with flats and houses also being built.
It contains four listed buildings, dating from about 1916, three of which are hangars on English Heritage's List of Buildings at Risk.
The site was developed into a permanent camp between the two wars, before closing in the 1960's.
