Hello,

My Grandfather (F/LT Sidford) was a pilot in 195 Squadron from Nov 8th 1944 to April the 19th 1945. I am trying to locate as much information as possible about the squadron and aircraft as I have the challenge of building a Lancaster model for him which I want to try to get to be as close to the last Lancaster (A4F NN740) which he flew as I can get.

I have found a couple of pictures at the Classic Aircraft site and these photos do look like they are the same aircraft, carrying the letter F and being taken only a month after my grandfather left the squadron. In fact I understand the chap in the left of the photo is F/S Redshaw who was my grandfathers Mid Upper Gunner, so things seem to fit.

However, if anyone has any photo's or knows where some can be found then I would be most grateful.
