I have just got hold of my father's service record and cannot find out what the  D in rank of DF/Sgt is. Another looks like TFS
Also he was on course 66-B, no 8 AOS in Quebec. Has anyone anyone information about this and is there anywhere I can find old photos between 1942-1946

Thanks

Rowena

Rowena, A.O.S. #8 was Ancienne Lorette, which was also the Airport for Quebec City. It was an excellent posting being so close to the city. I was at Manning Depot #4 there for September and October of 1942, but not at the Airport. We were stationed in an abandoned Nunnery, not a very romantic location.

Perhaps the D refers to Duty F/Sgt, as I was Duty (D) Officer several times.

I'm not certain where you could get photos or history of the station.
