LL797 was a Mk.1 and was delivered to 626 Sqdn 8Feb44 Took part in the Key Operations against Berlin 15/16Feb44 and Leipzig 19/20Feb44. When lost against Schweinfurt 24/25Feb had a total of 21 hours. Aairborne 1810 24Feb44 from Wickenby for the final sortie of their first tour of operations and carrying a second pilot for operational experience. Crashed at Marsal (Moselle), 10 km SE of Chateau-Salins, France.
