In my father's P.O.W. Red Cross "Wartime Log" there is a reference about an argument between two P.O.W.'s over "Pitopoly."
Can you clarify what Pitopoly was? My guess is that it was a variation of the Monopoly game, or that it was in association with their beds which were also known as "pits."
Any help will be appreciated.

Sorry David, I haven't the foggiest idea what pilopoly is. I was not a bonefide POW of the Germans; I was an Evader in France but was made a POW by the American Army after I was liberated. Seems I looked too German to be a true Canadian, and I had no identification. But it did get me entry into the ex-POW Assn.
I escaped from the Americans after 3 days. They're probably still looking for me.
