I am related to Gerald David Sharp  Born July 4th 1917 killed in action June 23rd 1943 Re Halifax 427 Sqdn RAF DK 141 shot down 22/23 June 1943.
He was the son of Harold John Sharp and Ada Sharp (nee Burden) who was the sister of my paternal grandmother Lucy Huntley (nee Burden)married William James Huntley who's son Reginald William Huntley was my father .
I would like any information comemorating this aircrew and will be happy provide any other family information that I can.

Hi Paul; I have these notes for this aircraft:

22-23 Jun 1943 mission to Mulheim
Took off at 23:24 from Leeming.
Shot down by a night-fighter (Hptm Heinrich-Franz Wohler, I./NJG1) crashing at Kaathoven (Noord Brabant), near Berlicum, Holland.

Sgt J D Hamilton RCAF KIA
Sgt J A Spencer RCAF pow
Sgt J J Reansbury RCAF KIA
Sgt G D Sharp KIA
Sgt N G Whiting KIA
Sgt P J A Dennis RCAF KIA
Sgt G L Tyrone RCAF KIA (from Memphis, Tennessee.)
Those who died were taken to the Princenhage at Breda for burial, since then their remains have been transferred to Bergen op Zoom War Cemetery, three of the four RCAF airmen lying in the Canadian Section.

A couple of small corrections to Bill's post:

Hptm Heinrich Wohlers (his 12th victory) was with Stab IV./NJG4, but was on detachment with 3./NJG1 (the third staffel not the first) at the time.  The victory was timed at 02.12 hrs.
