Here is a very good research site for identifying Luftwaffe claims on Bomber Command aircraft. You can search year by year or against a particular aircraft, say, a Short Stirling.
I've used it to cross reference against crew lost ( in Chorleys BC Losses ). Sometimes, you can identify the actual Luftwaffe pilot with his claim and sometimes the best result will be to gather one, two or three pilots who were operation on that given night at that given time frame of the lost aircraft.
Please be patient, waiting for to load.
All in all, an excellent research tool. John

You're right John, it's a good place to start or to use as a cross-reference but it should not be seen as infallible. The first date that I looked at had an error - 3 March 1945 shows that Herman Greiner scored 3 aerial victories in the Dortmund area, but it was only 2. So "Yes", use it, but check against other sources before treating as gospel!! Regards Max
