These diaries give a daily brief of the operations. There is a wealth of information.

John

Yeah, the reason they were taken down from the site is because they are pretty much a straight copy of the Middlebrook and Everitt book "The Bomber Command War Diaries" and I think used without permission.
Hi Wayne, I welcome your thoughts but is there any proof to your comments regarding the RAF using this info without permission?
I for one cannot stand it when someone uses 'other peoples' details without acknowledging the reference point and from first observation, I would be very surprised to see the RAF 'posting' such info without written permission. Of course, I stand corrected if someone was to confirm this in a factual form.
Hence the reason that I make no reference at all ( when quoting details to people ) to the L_ _ t Bombers site, who blatantly ripped off all details from Chorleys RAF Bomber Command Losses - 1939-45.
Welcome any feedback.
John

Hi ya John, Well, now we get to the tricky part, that's dealing with my not so good memory.
It may have been Jim, or Max on the Lancaster Archive that mentioned it over a year ago. If it was some sort of broken link that makes it unavailable through the normal web site, surely it would have been fixed by now, and not left for over a year? I hope someone here has more detail, and can correct me, as I would like to know the answer.
