On october 15 1944  Halifax Mk III LW-391 from N° 425Sqn crashed near Leopoldsburg Belgium.                                                                                

 

Sgt McCarthy P.A.  

F/O England R.W. RCAF

F/S Croucher N.S. RCAF  

F/S Servis G. RCAF  

Sgt Munro T.R. RCAF

Sgt McClure H.B. RCAF

Can someone help me with the first names of the crewmembers

...... and which one of the 8 crew members was the second pilot ?

chorley 'losses' leads us to believe in an 8-man crew the second named member was the 2nd pilot  ...

but can this be the case with Sgt McCarthy ? i presume he was the RAF flight engineer .

according to the CWGC F/Sgt FP Cartan is definitely listed as navigator - so in addition to first names i would like to see this conundrum solved

This aircraft was equiped with the mid under gun. Servis, Munro and McClure were the gunners.
