Dear all,

Can anyone help me to establish which German night fighter pilot shot down F/Lt Watson RCAF (622 Sqdn) on 27th-28th April 1944. According to 'Chorley' several night fighters attacked the aircraft, I was wondering if a particular pilot claimed the kill.

Thank you

Howard

Mike,

Many thanks for the information, I must invest in Theo Boitens book it will answer a lot of my questions.

The Allied fighter that crashed in the Regensburg area was probably shot down by flak which by all accounts was intense. I have a German friend who lives in the area and his local knowldege describes an American fighter brought down in the area.

Thanks again

Howard
