J.P Riches from 617 Squadron
Permalink

Hello there,

I am trying to find out what John Paul Riches did before he flew with 617 Squadron. I know he was transferred from 1660 CU, but he was supposed to have done a full tour before this.  Has anyone any ideas/information?

Thank you

Sgt John Paul Riches flew a tour with 106 Squadron at Syerston between January and May 1943 as Mid Upper Gunner to Sgt MacGregor's crew.

I can provide more details if you don't have the relevant ORBs. I have photos of him and 3 other of his crew members as I am putting together a book about 106 Squadron for this period at the moment.

Can I ask what your connection is with him or why you are interested in him?

Thanks
