The MRES documents in the UK are not available for public access at this time (I believe the files are closed for 99 years). However, the RAF Air Historical Branch have the discretion to release limited extracts from the reports to next of kin (once next of kinship has been proven). We have just been through this procedure for our research and were required to provide death certificates etc.
I am not an expert on Canadian crew , but I believe that you may be able to gain more information by selecting the Canadian airmen involved and seeking information from the Canadian authorities. Hopefully others may have gone through this procedure and will be able to give you some direction.
