I am trying to trace any information on my Fathers Sqdrn from 1942-1945 if anyone has any names or information can you please let me know I am aware his base was RAF Gravely his name was Percy Cyril Mansfield

I will appreciate any info on this Debbie

Hi Debbie,

I have had a quick look at the 1944 and 1945 operational record books and cannot match the name.

To serve at one base from 1942 to 1945 maty suggest he was groundcrew, and thus not mentioned in the orb's.

Do you know his rank?

You can probably obtain his service records, which will give a lot of detail of his 'trade' and various postings through training. If he is still alive he can get the record for no charge, or else a £30 charge to next of kin ( I stand to be corrected on this.)

My late father was at graveley from mid 1944 to 1945 as a wireless operator flyoing in Lancasters.
