This is not really my field but Library and Archives Canada at http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/index-e.html may be a useful start point for you as it provides links to the various Canadian archive sites and provides access to service information for the Canadian war dead. I have not looked at it in detail but you may find the rules / procedures for obtaining service records on there.

I also came across an RCAF Honours and Awards site a few weeks ago (http://airforce.ca/honours-awards/military-honours-awards-1914-1945-files/rcaf-personnel-1939-1949/); this may also provide you with more information.

Obviously the squadron / station "Operations Record Books" should provide you with crew listings etc for the various missions.

Hello Howard,

If they were killed in action then their personnel files are open to all. Each file will contain what is referred to as Record of Service Airmen which will contain all postings, training schools, leave etc.

Enter your names there and follow instructions on requesting a copy.

If your subjects survived the war and have been dead 20+ years you must prove that to be the case before you are granted access:

and scroll down to "How to Send an Inquiry Concerning Your Own or Another Individual's Records"

If neither apply, then access is given only to the subject of the file ie. he is still alive.
