I am doing some research on a relative who flew in a 625 Sqdn Lancaster bomber CF-D (DV364) that failed to return from a raid on Berlin on the night of 29/01/1944. Adding to the research I wanted a list of the crew who flew that mission. Having serched CWGC I have only found six names:
JE Alves, G Bone, R Latham, WH Lyssington, GA Spark, HJ Watkins - all are remembered on the Runnymede memorial as the crash site is unknown.
I presume a full crew of a Lancaster would be 7. Is there anyway of finding a record of who the seventh man would have been?

The 7th, was Warrant Officer Lewis Gerard Carson, RCAF. If you can leave your email address on my "whiteboard" in my profile, i'll get back to you concerning more information.
T/o 2354 Kelstern. Lost without trace. All are commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial. Details of Sgt Lyssington's award appeared in the London Gazette on 15 February 1944.

I cannot find any luftwaffe night fighter claim for DV364.
This crew were posted in from 100sqdn, in October 43, when 625sqdn was formed. They were on their 13th op with the squadron, when they were lost. Of the 13 ops, 8 were to Berlin. I'll be in touch by email.
Hey my grandfather J.E Alves was one of the crewmembers on this flight, did anyone dig up any more information on it? adam southsidecustoms@hotmail.co.uk
