The list in Coopers 'We act with one accord' shows:

26/27-July 1942

Sgt PH Smith

Sgt N McRattray

P/O DA Hollinger

Sgt EA Holland

Sgt HGLR Pakenham-Walsh

Sgt FW Huntley

Sgt JL Graham

crashed in the sea. all killed,

from the text:26/27th July the target was Hamburg and as on the previous night , another aircraft W-7760-B failed to return. Sgt Smith sent a message when 30 miles out to sea but nothing futher was heard and he and his crew have no known grave but are remembered on the Runnymead Memorial.

Good luck with your enquiries.

Paul H

I forgot to add that the aircraft took off from Linton-on-Ouse.

My Uncle was lost in the Halifax Bomber W7760 returning from a mission bombing Hamburg. We know nothing of the brothers in arms on that last flight. If anyone can give details of the others I would be most grateful. Scroll to see larger list of crew

Many thanks for your reply,
It would be great if we could find Photos of them together!
The 35 squadron photo of all the airmen does not have an ID list. Do you know if this could be sourced?

I have the ORB's for 35 Squadron for that period so I am happy to look through them to see how many missions they flew if you haven't already got that information. I note that EA Holland came to 35 Squadron via 405 Squadron (from 22OTU)*, so the crew may have been together there too.

If I can be of any help, please contact me.

Regards

Pete
