Took off 19.45hrs for a night exercise, but stalled and crashed two minutes after take off, at Laxton, 19 miles NNE of Nottingham. During the last few seconds of flight, the aircraft collided with high tension cables, and burst into flames. One more crew member to add to the above list, Sgt R. Eden, RCAF, injured.
Hi Matt, I am the grandson of the lone survivor of that crash. I think most of the information I have I have already provided and is on the net, but I am happy to help if you are still looking for any info. My grandfathers log book is in our possession and that is where some of the information has come from. I have been in contact and provided information to living relatives of some of the other crew. Most live in Alberta, Canada now.
